A recent survey by the by the National Retail Federation estimates that Americans will spend $14 billion dollars on Valentine’s Day. $14 Billion! The media bombards us with ways to “show our love” through giving flowers, candy, jewelry, or dinner at the perfect restaurant.
At Finding Freedom International we are all about “showing our love.” Our work to provide freedom, hope, and restoration to women and children rescued from sexual exploitation and abuse gives us the chance to celebrate Valentine’s Day every day of the year.
In recognition of January being National Human Trafficking Prevention Month and Valentine’s Day happening in February, we’ve established the “Show Our Love Challenge” to raise $10,000 by the end of March.
Your support will help fund our work with our safe-house partners in Thailand, Mexico City, Nicaragua, Tijuana, Vietnam, and Cambodia.
- $30 provides a rescued girl with a backpack filled with basic hygiene necessities, clothes, and a Bible. It is one of the first items they receive when entering a safe house and vital to their emotional and physical well-being since many girls arrive with only the clothes they are wearing.
- $100 enables us to provide educational supplies and materials for the girls’ schooling.
- $300 allows us to help our safe-house partners by paying for vital medical services for the girls, such as dental and vision care.
- $1,000 sponsors a Dream Workshop where we teach and inspire an entire class of rescued girls to dream again and develop hope for their future.
This Valentine’s Day will you join us in Showing Our Love to people who have never known love or compassion in their entire lives?
